What I built

Database design

I designed the database. In a system where sales, purchases, payments, and expenses all post into ledgers, the schema is the business logic - get the relationships and constraints wrong and every report downstream is wrong with them. Transactions and referential integrity carry real weight here, because a partially-applied payment is worse than a rejected one.

Core backend and financial logic

I developed the core backend and the financial business logic sitting on top of that schema: how sales and purchases post, how payments settle against invoices, how agent activity is attributed, and how ledger balances derive from the underlying entries rather than being stored and drifted.

POS interfaces and reporting

I built the Blade-based POS interfaces - server-rendered, because a point-of-sale screen needs to be fast and dependable rather than clever - along with daily and monthly financial reporting.

Outcome

I spearheaded the backend engineering for ZaadDOCS, taking complete ownership of the database architecture and financial business logic. I designed a rigorous MySQL schema to handle the entire commercial lifecycle, mapping complex relationships between sales, purchases, payments, and agent attributions into an immutable ledger system. Using Laravel, I built the core logic that settles payments against invoices and strictly derives ledger balances from underlying entries to prevent data drift. I also developed the server-rendered Blade point-of-sale interfaces, prioritizing raw speed and reliability over heavy client-side state. The main trade-off in building a financial application is that database schemas must enforce the business rules directly; a partially applied payment is much more dangerous than a rejected one, making referential integrity the absolute highest priority.
